Congratulations to Rhys Newman
 
Past Superkart junior driver Rhys has spent 2009 racing in various categories and winning the SA Formula Vee rookie of the year award.  For 2010 he has joined the CAMS Young Guns team and will race a full season of Aussie Legends. 

He has attracted some prominent motorsport patrons in John Walker and Vern Schuppan, and his first event will be the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.


A stolen kart ...  sadly we announce this.

 Attachedis a recent photo of my Honda RS 125cc Superkart that was stolen lastnight. It has a new Mychron 4 with a lambda setup, Ebox extreme, Data Hub. Italso had a custom leather Tillet seat with the QLD superkart logoembroided. It had polished rims with Dunlop 'DAM' 6 inch tyres. It had a 6speed paddle shift and stainless steel muffler. The custom Chassis ismake:CAHAM and the chassis #:CA01. The vehicle id is 33631. It was an ExColin Moore Kart from NSW.

 

I appreciate any help in recovery of my Superkart,reward offered 0418 872 856.

John Pellicano ( Chairman ) , Phil Silcock (Qld.), Gary Pegoraro (Vic.), Brett Purdie (SA), Sam Zavaglia (NSW).

2010 Victorian Junior Superkart State Championship

The VSKC has proudly announced that it will run a 4 round State Junior Superkart Championship. The series will be held at the Phillip Island and Winton circuits in conjunction with 2010 VSKC Club Championship.

The Championship will allow young drivers from the age of 12 to race a Junior Rotax engine (JMA) on a Grand Prix circuit without having any previous karting or racing experience.

The winning driver will be recognized as the ‘Victorian Junior State Champion’ and will receive a fully funded trip to the AMSF AIS Motorsport Camp in 2011. Minda Motor Sport has offered to provide a free test drive in a CAMS Rising Star Formula Ford race car for the winner of the series.

Come and Try Test Drives

The club will hold a ‘Come and Try’ session at the conclusion of most race meetings in 2010. Enquiries 08 8262 6133. (9-5 weekdays).
